  • My Fashion Pet Peeves

I have recently been feeling so uninspired, so here we are. Going over things I am hating right now. Specifically things I have found hard to look at when they pop up on my For You Page. If you’ve read my blog before you know that I am all for people wearing what makes them feel good. I mean really good, whether that’s in your confidence or comfortability. I am someone who likes to stay in between a modest, but loud style, with that being said, here are some trends I just cannot get behind. Call it tough love, or something… Call it fashion that one random blogger decided to write about! Whatever you want to call it, here is me ranting about how your Pinterest clone outfit looks bad.

  • Moving Up and Out

I have been thinking a lot about the difference between where I grew up and where I am now. More specifically, the feelings both places give me. I just wanted to get some things out in the open, and I want to be honest about my experience in moving out. It hasn’t been easy, especially if you aren’t completely prepared, like I. So, here we will be talking about what’s changed. What it took for me to feel comfortable here, finding people you like, finding things you like, and doing it without the people that you found and liked! I know I have been talking about being alone a lot recently, which is weird because I constantly feel surrounded this month, but I have also been able to find so much peace, and I just want to share that with everyone.

  • How to Stop Caring What People Think

I feel like I get inspired by the conversations happening in my life, what I see on social media, and people I admire. One conversation that has been coming up so much all over the place is caring about what people think and how much that stands in the way of your success. I mean seriously, I have had an hour long phone call with my sister about this right before another hour long talk about the exact same thing. It’s something so many people still struggle with. I was told that I started thinking about this around 12-years old, and my moms 40-something and still tells me about issues like this. So, before getting into this, I want you to know that you will go your whole life being perceived by people that don’t even know you. They can leave hateful comments or call you beautiful, but to be frank, but of those things should mean the same to you because neither of them know you personally. The only way to stop thinking about the constant need to please everyone, is by getting rid of your need for validation from anyone other than yourself.

  • Dinner for One

We should all be going on solo dates. And to be frank, anything can be labeled a solo date! Prior to moving down to San Diego, I had a tough time doing things alone. I didn’t want to go for walks alone, thrifting, baking. Any plans I had, involved another friend. Which, in theory, is super fun. Inviting your friends to hangout always brightens the mood, but what happened to independence? I mean seriously, are you really independent if you depend on other people to be your motivation to get out of the house? The answer is no. At least in my book. Not only are solo dates a great way to build up your capability to be alone, but it is another form of self-care. I think it’s the most over-looked form of self-care and love actually. Here, I’m going over the rules, the why’s, and the what’s.

  • Is the Clean Girl Aesthetic Over?

We all know the Clean Girl aesthetic. The slick back buns, Hailey Bieber reposts, sleek jewelry. It is this elegant vibe that kind of has an underlying tone of “I have money.” Honestly, I feel like if you say you never tried to take part in one of the trends that fall under this aesthetic, you’re totally lying. I might be biased because a slick back bun doesn’t look good on me, I have one too many tattoos to have “clean” skin, and I have a lot of fun partying a little too hard. I just truly believe that the Clean Girl Era is coming to an end. I think that the year of 2025 is full of maximalism, meanwhile this trend screams minimalism. Minimalism, except for the amount of skin/hair care you have, because let me tell you, to be a clean girl you need a lot. We’re not getting into that today technically, today we’re getting into how this is coming to an end. Not because I say so, but because if you stay up to date with any sort of fashion reports, magazines, news outlets, you’ll find being loud with your closet and vibe is the new quiet, clean girl.

  • Why Gen Z is Obsessed with Devon Lee Carlson and Others

I am totally Gen Z. I am 19-years old, living with my boyfriend, addicted to nicotine, and posting on Tik Tok everyday. If that doesn’t scream Gen Z I don’t really know what does. But there is something special about us, I think at least. We have this weird obsession with a different kind of influencers than most generations. They aren’t that perfect, they show their messy and authentic self, it’s more real. They also prioritize their health more than the early 2000’s girls ever did. We see these girls running, vlogging pilates, and eating clean. These girls are effortlessly cool, and have this type of vibe that makes us, or at least me, feel like it’s attainable, but not to the point that makes it look like my life. Does that make sense? The girls I am talking about here are Devon Lee Carlson, Emma Chamberlain, and Paloma Elsesser. These three women embody a chic and mysterious vibe that makes most of us obsess over the next time they’re going to post. I am going to go into depth about why each girl brings different things to the table and what it is.

  • Grandpa Core?

From Y2K, to indie sleaze, mom jeans, and trench coats buttoned to the top. My favorite trend or style, or even core, is the Grandpa x Fisherman vibe. I think that would be the proper way to say that. If you follow me on any of my socials, you would know my clothing is loose, navy blues, and there is a relaxed and cozy vibe to it all. It’s just my preference, but today we are going to get more in depth in curating a closet based around this so-called grandpa core. If you enjoy dressing with style, ease, and if you get cold easily, this vibe might be right up your alley.

  • Cool Girl Brands

Hello! This is my first blog post I’ve made since getting over a thousand readers here. I want to say I love all of you, and everyone here is so fucking cool. That is why I had to make a post talking about some “Cool Girl” brands I love. These are going to be brands with a quirky sense of style, amazing owners, and what makes them so unique. I am so excited to cover this topic, because despite being broke, I have such a love for all of these brands. I hope that you have some time to check them out, maybe order something cute. Now, keep in mind this is also going to be for the season. I’ll be covering tank tops, swimsuits, and just some different bold pieces that each brand is selling. Okay, let’s get shopping.

  • 2025 Wardrobe Necessities

Hello 2025, I’ve heard this year we’re leaving the excessive use of bows, having Elena Gilbert outfits on your Pinterest board, and cargo pants in the past. I’m partially kidding, but what are we bringing and leaving going into the new year? What are some trends I believe are going to be big this year? What are some trends I think are going to die off by March? I don’t want to waste much time, but 2025 is the year that personal style and unique outfits are making a comeback. Maximalism will be used in a way that shows how much style you have and not a lack thereof. Now that it’s all settled, let’s get into it.

  • The 8-8-8 Method

Some of us may have heard of the 8-8-8 method as a way of manifesting (like I), but no shame to this. At least you’re familiar with the idea. To be more specific the way this method works is by taking your 24 hour day, and splitting it up into three sections. You have your rest and relaxation section, the work section, and the living section. I guarantee a lot of you are reading this wondering, “We only get 12 hours of daylight though.” Or at least that’s what my friend told me when I was telling her about this. My response to this is, coming from a place that would get 5 hours of daylight in the winter, this would’ve saved my life. Keeping me out of a winter “rut” some may say. I know the idea of keeping things productive for 16 hours at a time sounds terrible, but I’ll go into depth about how this can truly change your life, along with how it won’t be as difficult as it sounds.

  • Let's All Crave Male Validation Together...

Growing up, I feel as if I was taught that there was a specific way to exist in the world. It involved me looking a certain way and pleasing a certain demographic. That was men, obviously. I didn’t realize it then, but when I think back, it was like this invisible manual that came with me at birth. One that promised me love and admiration if I followed the path of female desirability. It seemed like the only logical way to move forward. Yet, here I am, writing this piece, all too aware that this desire for male validation still pulses beneath the surface of my psyche, even when I’ve supposedly “evolved” past it. It’s almost like a bad habit for most of us, a reflection, one that is harder to knock than nicotine, maybe. So, let’s be honest and have a discussion about why we crave male validation, and why it’s been ingrained in us from childhood, and why some of us are lucky enough to wake up to the fact that we don’t need it at all. We don’t all wake up to the beautiful reality at the same time, and I think that’s where the real story is.

  • Hater to Lover of Miranda Hobbes

Fellow SATC lovers, hello. I have a feeling we all already have strong opinions on the character mentioned in the title there, but this is truly deeper than just her story in the show. It has everything to do with what she was doing and how she was living throughout the whole series! Personally, I could not stand Miranda when I started Sex and the City, but to be fair, I was 16-years old. I wasn’t watching the show to see how women lived their lives, I was watching to see the drama between Big and Carrie. I recently turned back to the show, (it’s merely what turned me to starting a blog) and I realized that there is so much more to the characters than just their love life. Before we get into this, decide now, did you start the show by despising Miranda’s negative attitude? Or loving her due to her “power?”

  • What You Should and Shouldn't Be Adding in Your Morning Coffee

Long time no see! I have been so busy planning the perfect article (my computer was broken). During my time away from writing (one week), I have had plenty of time to get some of my shit together. This includes gut health. My interest was peaked in this because I am someone who deals with constant bloating, fatigue, and honestly issues with how I see my body in the mirror sometime. When this began to take more of a toll on how I felt putting on most of my clothes, I knew I had to make a change. So, here in this article we will be discussing what you should be drinking with your morning coffee (or matcha), and what isn’t worth it. We’ll also discuss the world of oat. almond, soy, and coconut milk (and why maybe not adding any of them is your best choice). I hope you enjoy! Love.

  • Dream Girl Hobbies.

Honestly, I want to start this off by saying… Fuck the trends. A few questions for you: Do you really like pilates? Do you actually like the taste of matcha? And finally, what are your opinions on running? I won’t lie, I have fallen victim to all of these It Girl activities, and I love them, but does everyone? I want to make it clear you don’t have to do what everyone else is doing to be happy. Nonetheless, let’s officially get into the topic of “Dream Girl Hobbies".

  • The Allure of the Preppy Girl Style

Teamed up with @forevermadeformore through Tik Tok! Go check out all of their fantastic content.

Some styles can get up and go like a fleeting trend, but then there are some others that become legendary. Enter New England preppy girl fashion, the wardrobe equivalent of a cashmere sweater that gets pulled out of the closet three times a week. It’s this blend of looking so polished, yet so playful. It makes you look, effortless, but somehow… so perfect. Think of it as some sort of love child from the classic Ivy league sensibilities and the sophistication of the New England coast. Imagine this, waking up in the morning to feeling salty air coming through your window, it smells like the ocean, and somehow, whatever you put on next makes you look effortlessly perfect.

  • Nancy Meyers' Designs are Timeless, Here's Why...

When we imagine iconic interiors it consists of spaces with a blend of comfort, elegance, warmth, and sophistication. Few designers are able to achieve this balance as seamlessly as Nancy Meyers, the director and producer known for creating some of the most stunning homes in cinematic history. From (my personal favorite) The Holiday to Home Again, Meyers has given us characters we have learned to adore, and homes that are relatable, while timeless and classy. They also give a feel of unreachability, despite seeming so “common.” Her interiors are more than just backdrops, they are essential to her stories. They show the vulnerability of different characters by showing what their homes look like, clean or “dirty.” Here is exactly why Nancy Meyers’ design will continue to inspire and why her iconic homes will be a long lasting memory and trend.

  • Statement Pieces: Without the Micro Trends

Partnered with @natalieandaddy through Tik Tok. Today, we’re discussing the necessary use of statement pieces, but let’s keep them classy. These accessories are meant to be timeless and be worn out to an event 20 years after purchasing it (and a few times in between), but a lot of the statement pieces we see on our feed are going to be based around the latest micro trend. This includes bows, eight balls, and too much jewelry. Versus the timeless statement pieces are going to be a pair of bold sunglasses, a few bold rings with some classy earrings, even a trench coat can be labeled as a statement piece. So, let’s dive into what you should be buying for that bold section in your wardrobe, and maybe what isn’t worth the $100.

  • Seasons Don't Change Here.

San Diego has a way of staying the same, season after season. The weather’s perpetually perfect, the waves constantly crash, and the sunsets never disappoint. It’s beautiful, yes, but there’s a strange stillness to it all. The thrill of change, the urgency of the city that never sleeps, feels like a distant memory here. How do you chase excitement in a city that doesn’t really have seasons? You find it in the little rebellions. Drinks that taste like sunset, moments that make you remember what it’s like to live with a bit of unpredictability. When the weather stays the same, you’ve got to create your own shifts.

  • The Perfect Jeans for All.

Scroll away, but look at all your options here babe, a good pair of denim is always worth investing in

  • What to Wear When You Have Nothing to Wear.

There are days when you stand in front of your closet and the emptiness just stares back at you. No, it’s not that your wardrobe is lacking. Oh no, your wardrobe is filled to the brim. It’s bursting at the seams, but somehow, it still feels as if there is nothing to wear. The good pieces? We worse those to death last week. The Novelty one? They’re collecting dust, not including the fact that you can only wear those pieces according to relevance. And then there are the shoes, the shoes that stare at you like they know something that you don’t. Judging every step. It’s moments like these when we realize that fashion isn’t about clothes. The magic of how an outfit can elevate your mood, transform your day, and even igniter a little drama. Now, the question is how do you create that magic when you feel like you have absolutely nothing to wear? The tip: It’s not about what’s in your closet, it’s about how you wear what you already own, and maybe pretending it’s new.

  • Sweet Tea and Sour Friends.

It’s funny how small towns have a way of making you feel like you know everyone, and then just as quickly, you realize you don’t know anyone at all. Months ago, I packed up my bags and left for a bigger adventure. As the weeks passed, I started to realize there was something I had left behind that wasn’t so easy to escape. You know the ones who pretend to be there for you when it suits them, but then you ask for some support and… crickets. Let’s get into the juicy stories and a little bit of truth-telling.

  • Down on the West Coast.

When I pictured San Diego prior to moving down here, I looked at it as endless beaches, laid-back vibes, and an effortless style, so naturally I’ve always assumed everyone thinks that. Little did I know, this city is so much deeper than that. Taking time to find the local dive bars and empty caves has finally paid off. San Diego is the “new” place to romanticize your everyday life. Here you’ll find the perfect backdrop for your socials, but nobody talks about the difficulties of mixing the uncomfortable heat with personalized fashion.

  • Am I the Grinch?

As December rolls around, the world around me is oozing holiday cheer, twinkling lights, cheery carolers, and the eternal optimism of people who somehow believe that putting on an ugly sweater around a fire can solve world’s problems. Me? I’ve been a Scrooge since I was 12-years old. I mean, is it really so wrong to feel like the Grinch?

  • Get Skinny or GTFO!

It’s 2024, and just when you thought we’d left behind the haunting specter of the ‘90s body standard (you know, the Kate Moss / “Heroin Chic” days), guess what? It’s back, but now it’s showing up at your favorite bar with a new haircut and a side-eye that says, “I told you I’d be back.” The latest fashion trends have resurrected the ultra-skinny, almost-too-thin body ideal- and it’s all over Instagram, TikTok, and yes, even on the runways.

Are we really doing this again? Really?

  • Promotions, Promoting, and Promoters.

    Promotions, Promoting, and Promoters.

Some of us are here reading this and have once imagined being promoted to a higher authority position than where you may be working right now. Maybe bossing people around, or moving locations, something that sounds like you get paid more and do less maybe. Then some of us are here promoting a new brand, a blog (as that is what I’m doing), or trying to become a full time influencer. Then some of us (if not all of us), have gone out on a Friday night and got approached by a “promoter” that offers us a bottle of champagne and their business card. Quick question: Why do they give us their business card? Most of us are girls not involved in owning a night club.

All of these “P’s” have these unrealistic expectations set with them, but what is the cost of each of them coming true?

  • Cool Girl Guide

I am again partnering up with one of my favorite girls, @natalieandaddy from Tik Tok! They made a great post about what we will be discussing here. Today, we are going over a simple guide to being that Cool Girl that we all adore and love and are most of the time wondering how they hold their shit together so well. When I think of a cool girl, I think about a mysterious and unknown woman who always has a stylish outfit, and even in sweats she looks more put together than I do on a good day. There are some basic key points to this aesthetic that we’ll be going over. This includes the way she holds herself, the way she keeps her life private, and she puts herself first. I don’t want to leave you all wondering, so let’s get started.
